Raise GST by 1.5 percent to provide free public transport please
Updated 29 Dec: Since this article has been featured on Tomorrow.sg, I figure that soon there will be lots of comments lambasting me for making such a controversial “suggestion” that Singaporeans take the 1.5% increase in GST for free transport. Budget airlines – AirAsia’s the best
Since budget flights came into existence in Asia, I’ve taken dozens of flights on AirAsia, Tiger Airways and Jetstar. Out of these three, my favourite is actually AirAsia. Actually in terms of comfort and service Jetstar is the best, but it is a bit on the expensive side.

Exams over, but no respite in sight
I went for a free eye screening today on campus. I suspect the intent was more about NUH trying to get students and staff to sign up for lasik surgery at “promotional rates” rather than truly about our eye health. Well, at least I’m more or less assured that I’m not going blind anytime soon.
