So I’ve been away from blogging for a couple of weeks now – been busy applying for jobs and going for interviews. On average I’ve been going for interviews every other day, and at one point last week I simply burned out and called up one of the employers to cancel an interview. Reason being I was really tired and doubtful that I would want to join that organization in the first place anyway. But of course I did not give them that reason… I told them I already secured a job offer.

This week has been less hectic, but I did attend two second round interviews… and I personally think I did quite OK and should be expecting offers to come in from both. Hope the salary will be decent enough – I’ve been reading news reports about very bleak graduate salaries for this year’s graduates… sigh. I also read that previous years’ first class honours graduates usually get headhunted by investment banks… this year is just a very bad year to graduate – I have to hunt for jobs instead. But on the bright side, at least my academic results and CV is good enough to attract recruiters’ attentions and get me some interview opportunities at good organizations. Plus I see those interviews as good opportunities to practise and master the art of tackling interviews.

I’ll definitely get down to blogging about my China trip again real soon… I’m cutting down on sending out job applications now and will resume blogging once I get enough rest, probably over the next couple of days.
