  1. Hope you’re having fun in Vancouver (the rain can kind of get you down at times!) I see you’ve already seen Prima Taste, but try Banana Leaf (on West Broadway or on Denman) for some Malaysian food. I don’t know how authentic it would taste for you, but I’ve found my experiences there quite pleasant. (As for prices, well, I cannot say whether or not they’d seem reasonable, but you can check out their website beforehand). good luck with midterms!

  2. Thanks for dropping by! Hope you have a wonderful CNY (if you celebrate it in the first place).

The rain… hmmm… Not sure how it’s been in previous years, but so far we’ve had a couple weeks with nearly daily precipitation, but also lots of sunny days… but looks like these few days the wet weather’s coming back again though…

Ah well, regarding prices I guess if I make a living here I won’t have much to complain about (I see posters going up everywhere about a petition to raise minimum wage for part time jobs to CAD 10 an hour, when we are still having people earning SGD 2.50 an hour at Burger King in Singapore – not sure about now but when I worked there.. um… 12 years ago it was that much).

Gee. That made me realise how much older I am now.

So I guess a restaurant meal at CAD 10+ is really nothing… maybe even less than an hour of part time rate. Considering in Singapore for SGD 2.50 we can at most only get a coffeeshop meal…
